What is AditxtScore for COVID-19?
It is a blood test (i.e., assay) that measures your immune response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus or vaccination.
Antibody vs Antigen testing
Antigen testing by PCR is used to determine active infection status, while antibody testing determines one’s immune response to the virus or vaccination. As we move through this next phase of the pandemic, understanding one’s own immunity status is also important. AditxtScore™ for COVID-19 provides a comprehensive evaluation of the immune response to the virus or vaccine, allowing individuals to know if prior infection or vaccination has resulted in a response that suggests immunity. Talk to your healthcare provider about which test is right for you.
What is Quantitative antibody testing?
Uses a blood specimen to show you if your body has produced enough of the appropriate antibodies to be protected from COVID-19 infection.
- Antigen (qualitative) = am I currently infected with the virus? Yes or no, positive or negative.
- Antibody (qualitative) = is my immune system equipped to defend me from the virus? Yes or no, present or not present.
- Aditxt (quantitative) antibody testing = do I have enough of the correct antibodies for my body to be protected from being infected with the virus? Yes or no, and to what extent (scale of 0 to 100, threshold of 30 needed to be considered having neutralizing antibodies).
How do I prepare for the test?
It is recommended that you stay well hydrated before getting your blood drawn, as this will aid the phlebotomist in collecting the specimen. There is no need to fast for this test. The blood draw should only take a few minutes.
How much does the test cost?
The test cost is 160 USD.
How would I get my result?
Through Great Lakes Medical Laboratory Inc Patient Portal.
When will I get my result?
Adixtscore test takes about 4-6 business days to get resulted.
Will my insurance cover it?
If you have a doctor referral with the right medical necessity your insurance may cover it.
Can this test determine if I need to wear a mask or not?
By assessing multiple antibody types against multiple SARS-CoV-2 antigens, AditxtScore™ for COVID-19 indicates whether you have been exposed to the virus and generated an immune response to neutralize it. AditxtScore™ cannot guarantee you will not become infected in the future; however, a positive immune response suggests you can have increased resistance to infection if exposed to the COVID-19 virus again.
Individuals should not use the results from any test as an indication they can stop taking precautionary measures to protect themselves and others. We encourage you to follow CDC guidelines and local, state and federal rules and regulations.
